RYV is a community choir in Wirksworth, formed in April 2009, purely for the joy of singing! We ring the changes from a selection of genres, mostly in four part harmony, offering a warm welcome to all, when good craic and camaraderie abounds!
We love to learn new songs but we also have many a soft spot for the tried and tested old favourites we fish out for fun!!.
Our penultimate event of 2024 was "Hark Hark" our Winter Concert in St Marys Church on Friday 14th December with £500 from proceeds this year donated to support local families in need. Thank you to all our wonderful audience and volunteers who made this possible.
Simply come along to Wirksworth Wellspring Meeting Space on a Thursday evening from 7pm-9 pm. Weekly subs are £5 per person. No auditions, no experience necessary, HOWEVER, it is important that you contact us before you come so we can email the songs for the week which you will need to print and bring. Look at the diary for dates of note apart from the usual sessions.
